School Counselor

Emily Sprowls

Emily received her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Liberty University, and her B.S. in Family and Children’s Ministry from Toccoa Falls College. Before becoming a School Counselor, Emily worked at Toccoa Falls College for 7 years, first as an Admissions Counselor and then as the Director of Student Affairs. Her desire to work more closely and proactively with students led her to begin her School Counseling career with Stephens County Schools in 2017. After serving 5th-8th grade students for 5 years, Emily transferred to Toccoa Elementary in 2022.

Emily's focus is to support and encourage students to make healthy choices, to achieve academic goals, to build strong friendships, and to be kind and caring individuals both at TES and at home. Emily works with students in small group settings, teaches classroom guidance lessons, works with students to provide specific interventions, and meets with students as-needed on an individual basis. Emily also coordinates the Food 2 Kids and Mentoring programs, works with community agencies to provide additional services to students and their families, serves as the Section 504 case manager for TES, and monitors student attendance.

Emily has been married for 14 years and has two boys. She enjoys reading, running, hiking, gardening, and baking.
