Meet our Counselor:

Mrs. Sprowls received her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Liberty University, and her B.S. in Family and Children’s Ministry from Toccoa Falls College. Before becoming a School Counselor, Mrs. Sprowls worked at Toccoa Falls College for 7 years, first as an Admissions Counselor and then as the Director of Student Affairs. Her desire to work more closely and proactively with students led her to begin her School Counseling career with Stephens County Schools in 2017. After serving 5th-8th grade students for 5 years, she transferred to Toccoa Elementary in July 2022.

Mrs. Sprowls strives to support and encourage students to make healthy choices, to achieve academic goals, to build strong friendships, and to be kind and caring individuals both at TES and at home. She works to provide small group counseling opportunities for students, teaches classroom counseling lessons to support the social and emotional needs of students, and meets with students on an individual basis as needed. Mrs. Sprowls also coordinates the Food 2 Kids and Mentoring programs, works with community agencies to provide additional services to students and their families, serves as the Section 504 case manager for TES, and monitors student attendance. Some of the most exciting aspects of her role at TES involve getting to plan and execute school-wide initiatives such as Healthy Habits Week, Kindness Week, and College & Career Week.

Mrs. Sprowls has been married for 15 years and has two boys. She enjoys reading, running, hiking, gardening, and baking.
